Children's Ministries
Children's Ministry Mission Statement
The JKPC children's ministry team strives to
build a faith that grows. The children learn
God's word, share God's love,
experience God's grace, talk to God through prayer, praise God through song
and come to a deeper relationship with Christ.
We
offer Sunday School Classes for children in Preschool – 5th
Grade. Our theme this
year is "Let Your Light Shine!” Nursery Care is available for little ones,
and we also have a Cry Room behind the Sanctuary where parents can still
both see & hear the service.
Join us for fun every Sunday afternoon in March as we conclude discovery of how Jesus is the ultimate best friend!! There are games, crafts and snacks! Bring your friends to join the fun.
Sonbeams (K-2nd Grade) meet from 4-5 p.m.
Moovin' Up! (3rd to 5th Grade) meets from 4-5:30 and includes chimes!
Cherubs (preschoolers) meet twice in March, on the 7th and the 28th on February 14th only from 4-5 p.m.
Vacation Bible School -- July 19-23
Spring into Summer with SonQuest Rainforest Vacation Bible School. The theme this year is an adventure filled with tropical treats, swinging music, colorful crafts and jungle activities. Yes, SonQuest Rainforest Bible School is swinging into JKPC from July 19-23. Carnival will be Sunday, July 18 and the VBS Sunday will be July 27.
Get ready to sign up your child for a week of adventure. Your kids will also learn five Bible verses that will change their lives! Registration will begin in May.
Lenten Activity Kid Calendars
The calendars were handed out starting on February 21. These colorful
calendars have wonderful craft ideas, activities and Bible verses for your
family to share as you prepare for Easter. If you haven't received yours
yet, call the Church office.
One Great Hour of Sharing Fish Banks
The banks will be distributed on March 7. The collected coins will help
support families all over the world who are in need of food and clean water.
They will be collected during the service on Palm Sunday, March 28.

The children will once again open the worship service with a Palm Branch
Parade!
Easter Sunday School Celebration -- April 4
The children will celebrate Easter with an Easter egg hunt, crafts and fun
activities during both services.
Westminster Woods Summer Camp
Westminster Woods Summer Camp is an exciting way for your child to develop
a closer relationship with God in a beautiful and safe environment..
This year the JKPC dates and fees at the "Woods" are:
June 27 to July 3 -- Sherwood Forest for kids about to enter grades 4-6 ($475.00).
June 27-30 -- Adventure Camp half-week camp for kids entering grades 2-4 ($237.50)

Camp Fund Raiser Update
We thank all that came out in the rain to eat at Armadillo Willy’s Restaurant Night – $89.00 was received! We are planning more fund raisers to help with camp costs, such as Cupcake for Campers Bake Sale on Mothers' Day in May and a Talent Show (below).
Tropical Talent Show / Dinner Fundraiser -- Saturday, May 1 from 5-7
JKPC has talent and we want to see it! Share your talent, whether it is singing, dancing, playing piano or juggling! Once we have our "acts" together all are welcome the watch the show in Fellowship Hall while dining on spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and a special dessert! Donations will be accepted and profits will benefit our Westminster Woods campers. There will even be 50-50 raffle tickets sold. Sign up with Nancy Polcyn if you have a talent to share, or if you plan to attend.
Sign-ups will begin in mid-February for talent acts.
