Deacons
The Deacons ensure the well being of each member. The Deacons of our church provide several functions. One is to include all members and friends of our church in "Parish Groups." During the year, the Deacons stay in touch with their parishes through phone calls and personal visits. They host special Deacons' Coffees twice a year after worship and prepare communion each month. The Deacons also provide care in the time of emergency or the death of a loved one. Meals, as well as support, can be arranged.
The Deacons also provide a Prayer Chain. Your prayer request will be kept confidential. Contact your Deacon or Nancy Koh-Zakaria, prayer chain coordinator.
The first Sunday of each month is Deacons' Sunday. There are special envelopes in the pew racks for contributions to the Deacons' Fund. This fund is used to purchase Advent and Lenten devotionals, communion elements, the Lenten soup supper, the All Church Barbecue and contributions to the Children's Emergency Food Bank.
